Victoria J. Dean is a Northern Irish photographic artist based near Belfast. She obtained BTEC Foundation Art and Design from Falmouth College of Arts before completing BA (Hons) Photography from the highly regarded Blackpool and the Fylde College, graduating in 2003. Victoria’s successes to date include commendation by New York’s Photo District News in their “30 Emerging Photographers to Watch for 2007”, Honourable Mention in the Magenta Foundation’s, ‘Flash Forward 2007’, and an award from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
Victoria’s exhibitions throughout the UK and Ireland have included the Royal Ulster Academy’s 125th, 126th and 127th Annual Exhibitions at the Ormeau Baths Gallery and Titanic Drawing Offices in Belfast, the 148th and 149th Royal Photographic Society’s International Exhibitions, and the Association of Photographers Open in London.
Her solo exhibitions include, the Grand Opera House and the Lyric Theatre in Belfast. Her work has been published in the RPS Journal, British Journal of Photography, Ag and PDN.
Victoria’s work is held in the Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s collection, and private collections in the UK
and Ireland.
